A few days in KL, Malaysia en route back to Oz seemed like a great idea: get over the jetlag, have a taste of Asia and stagger the trip. I was not prepared for the drastic weather change and the tropical muggy heat. KL has a distinct cultural flavour which incorporates a cornicopia of ethnic and religious diversities, we were visiting a hindu temple the one day and photographing a mosque the next. Enjoying the spectacles of the Chinese markets with the gruesome meat market and cheap stationary, and walking through the vast manicured city gardens. A day in Melaka brought me back to my travels in Europe just a little, with its Dutch styled houses on the river and mass of tourists. I had the most fantastic bowl of chicken curry, perfect blend of aromatic spices.
Well my trip is over and I am back to real life as I know it. But I have caught the bug and am already planning my next trip... over and out.
